About Author LC Ahl
Lucy has been writing imaginative stories since grade school.
She published her first book in 2012. A nonfiction book based on workshops she did in San Diego high schools teaching young girls about breast cancer. “One in Eight” is based on her own experiences with breast cancer and the facts surrounding this disease.
At the age of 57, she finally set out to get that long awaited degree in Creative Writing and English from the University of Southern New Hampshire. Graduating with high honors
in 2017,
Lucy became a writer in 2019 for Coffeehouse Writers. She was promoted to editor in 2022 and enjoys helping other writers hone their craft plus continues to submit short stories on a monthly basis.
In her spare time, she loves traveling with her husband, gardening, biking, cooking, boating and playing bocce ball.
Born and raised on the East Coast, Lucy has lived in California, Montana, & Colorado. She found her forever home in Savannah, GA with her husband, and their two dogs, Betty Boop and Nacho.
